My role

I improved the platform by designing and exploring new features and helping team to boost user adoption across both mobile and web interfaces. My main focus was on developing and testing the flows and design of dashboard applications for DSRs/operators and vendors.

02

Challenge

Our existing analytics dashboard lacked the dynamic features and intuitive data representation that our competitors offered. This gap in functionality made it challenging for users to derive actionable insights efficiently, impacting their operational agility and strategic decision-making.

Solution and key contribution

1. Competitive Research: I started by looking at what our competitors, like Pepper and Cut+Dry, were doing with their dashboards. I focused on how they show data, how many people start using their services after the first try, and special features like making sales numbers more fun to follow.

2. Market Analysis: I used what I learned from other companies and combined it with feedback from our own users. This mix helped me figure out what changes and new features we needed to make our dashboard better.

3. Designing Flows and Prototyping: I designed new ways for users to move through our app and made a Figma prototype. This prototype used better ways to show data, like pie charts and column charts, and added new things like time filters and better options for sorting information to make our dashboard more engaging.

4. Testing and Refinement: We tested the prototype with real users from sites like usertesting.com and also did our own in-depth tests. The feedback was used to make further improvements. This step-by-step testing was key to making sure our dashboard was easy to use and effective with the focus on the usability.

Results

The updated dashboard made it easier for users to understand and navigate complex data, significantly enhancing their experience. Feedback after putting the new design in place showed that users were more satisfied and engaged, confirming that our approach based on thorough research was effective.
